Certification Process
To successfully complete complte your security guar training, all students must pass an examination, which consists of a multiple-choice and true/false question set. Once you have passed this exam, you will then receive a certificate of completion from us, sent to you within 24hr-48hrs, and which is required for you to apply for your security guard registration card with the New York Department of State.

Additional Training
After you have completed your 8-hour pre-assignment training on that day, don’t forget that you are also required to complete the 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Course within 90 days of employment. Most people prefer to take the bundle course of 8hrs and 16 hrs OJT together so that they do not experience any interepution in the job when they start working.
Our training program also takes care of your 8-Hour Annual In-Service Training classes when the time comes in order to to help you stay up to date with the latest security guard practices in your area. You will need to pass an exam which is also multiple choice in order to consider the class as complete.
Please note: All Students are entitled to a 100% refund, but only within 24 hrs or a day before the training, you will not be granted a refunded for non-attendance or if you forgot and put in a refund request on the day. What you can always do is request a free to reschedule of your training to a new date to take a class at anytime by sending an email in the event that you missed the class. Also please be aware that a DCJS approved security guard training school cannot assess any non-refundable registration fees, deposits, or cancellation fees.

Q: What are all the requirements for me to enroll for this training ?
A: There are several requirements, madated by the law. You must be at least 18 years of age and should posses a valid ID, a NY State driver’s license or NYS non-driver ID card. You should also have no felony convictions on your record.
Q: What happens after I complete the security guard training ?
A: Once you complete the live training and have been present on camera all the time during the training, you will need to pass a multiple test exam. After you have passed that exam exam, you will receive a certificate of completion for that training. After which you are free to then apply for your security guard registration card with the New York Department of State.
Q: Is this training available online with a trainer?
A: Yes, our training is done live via Zoom. You can choose to attend online at your convenience, remember you must be present at all time and complete both days of training.
